Texture and Pattern, Two Great Tastes That Taste Great Together

Well , well, well Winter we meet again. Did you enjoy your vacation? I can assure you no one missed you. AT ALL.

Detroit had its first substantial snowfall of the season on Sunday. I suppose I should be thankful that it took so long coming, but I just can't muster up that emotion right now.

As is many people's custom, I went to worship the Lord on Sunday. This is what I wore to the Kingdom Hall :).

I look to mix up patterns and textures with pieces that might look otherwise blah on their own to make them interesting and snazzy. Kind of like how all the Power Rangers' Zords are like pretty ok on their own, but get 1000% more awesome when they combine into the Mega Zord. Yeah, kind of like that.

The trick, I think is to limit yourself a bit. You want to look interesting but not interesting, if you get what I mean.

With this look I stuck with just 2; polka dots in my top and stockings, and this really comfy, really universally flattering pencil skirt in this kind of heat heathered,space-dyed fabric that added a nice texture to the ensemble. I complemented it with a chunky necklace and small earrings. It creates just enough  visual interest in my humble opinion. It's classic looking and chic but still got personality.

That's it for my first snowfall look. I totally channeled one of my favorite blogs  The Flight Of The Fat Girl  (@flightofthefatgirl)  and played in the powder She always does these amazing snow shots and I couldn't resist lol! It was pretty fun and not as cold as you'd think lol.

                    Bishoujo-ially yours,

                           Porschia (*^_~*)
