Guess Who's Bizz-ack?

 

    I know, I know. I've got some 'splaining to do. 

  " Who starts a fashion account on Instagram and doesn't update in a year?" you might gripe, "Well, if she doesn't care, I sure don't care," you might reason. I don't blame you.   

 I jumped into this, head first with no plan, no knowledge, armed only with excitement and enthusiasm for fashion. I didn't know how hard it is to push yourself to be creative when you don't want to be, or even how hard it is to get a decent picture, or a person who cares enough to work with you to get that perfect shot, etc etc etc.  

    I'm married, I have two kids, one in grade school, and I work full time. Put those together and well I hope you see why I never truly got this blog started on the proper foot.

  

  Fashion is work. It's fun work but it's still WORK and I already have a full time job. But it's a new year, a new me and a new name.

   Why Bishoujo & Black? Well, after many many many name changes I officially decided to ride with this one because i feel it encapsulates me almost completely.

   Bishoujo is a Japanese term for a pretty girl. I'd like to think that's me, most days lol. 

  Bishoujo is also a term for my favorite category of manga, or Japanese comics. Think Sailor Moon or Fushigi Yuugi and you get the picture. I am a big ole cartoon loving, anime drawing dweeb and I like that this word can bridge those two worlds.

    You can expect to see looks that fuse and mix my love for fandom with my love for fashion. I favor retro inspired and classic pieces, but I also like to spice it up a bit.
